Position:     Software Support Specialist job in Cleveland, Ohio
Location:    Cleveland, Ohio
Duration:    4-6 month contract with potential for hire
 
MODIS, a leader in the IT Staffing and Services Industry, is working with a client on a Software Support Specialist job in Cleveland, Ohio.  The Software Support Specialist will have the opportunity to contribute to the local Cleveland community by working for one of the highest-rated network of free, public charter schools in Ohio.  The Software Support Specialist job in Cleveland, Ohio will be responsible for learning, supporting, and becoming the Subject Matter Expert on the educational software applications utilized in this network.
 
Requirements:
 

• 
  

• Learn, support, and become the Subject Matter Expert on current educational software applications (Most of which are made by Pearson School Systems).

• • 
    

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, and SchoolNet.

  
  

• Coordinate and facilitate with 3rd party vendors and issues regarding licensing, software, and support for the educational software applications.
• Complete the implementation of all educational software packages bringing all packages to 100% live.
• Will travel to the other schools on an as needed basis.

 
Qualifications/Skills:
 

• 
  

• Ideal candidate will have done support of similar applications in an educational space, but consideration will be given to candidates who has supported software from a custom development shop
• Good troubleshooting and support skills
• Patience to work with teachers, staff, and administrators at all IT levels
• Ability to learn systems and support software applications efficiently
• Ability to work with vendors on any software related performance issues or any issues in general
• Team player and willing to help out in other areas in IT if necessary
