increasing the participation of underrepresented minorities in
computing are strongly encouraged to apply.

field. Candidates seeking positions at the Assistant Professor
level should demonstrate potential for excellence in innovative
research. Candidates seeking positions at the Associate Professor
level should have established a significant research reputation
nationally and possess a record of extramural funding. Candidates
seeking positions at the level of full Professor should be
recognized internationally for research excellence, leadership and
scholarship in their discipline.
All successful candidates are expected to develop a vibrant,
high-quality externally sponsored research program, supervise
graduate students, and interact and collaborate with faculty across
the department and campus. Applicants should have a strong
commitment to high quality teaching at the undergraduate and
graduate levels.
Applicants must submit (i) a cover letter, (ii) current curriculum
vitae, (iii) statement of research interests, (iv) statement of
teaching interests, (iv) statement on diversity and inclusion, and

candidates value diversity, equity, and inclusion within their
research and discipline(s) and how their own scholarly work might
contribute to structural justice inside and outside institutions of
higher learning. This statement should also suggest how their work,
while as a member of CWRU, will contribute to diversity, equity,
and inclusion and how moving forward they intend to foster a
culture of diversity, pluralism, and individual difference.
Applications will be reviewed starting immediately and will
continue until the position is filled with a start date as early as
July 1, 2023.
