Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide advanced nursing care in a progressive care/stepdown unit caring for cardiac telemetry, vascular, and med-surg patients. This travel opportunity offers a dynamic patient population that includes post-catheterization and post-pacemaker cases, with a variety of lines, drains, and airway devices to manage. The 13-week assignment is ideal for experienced RNs seeking to expand their critical care skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform thorough patient assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate care effectiveness. - Administer medications safely, including drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, and Dopamine. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate patient care, and provide patient and family education. - Monitor telemetry strips each shift and manage complex patient needs including multi-system organ failure and trauma. - Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and quality care in accordance with the nursing professional practice model. Qualifications: - Current RN license valid in the state or covered by compact. - Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 6 months in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification. - Dial dysrhythmia exam must be passed (study guide provided). - Travel nursing experience is not required. - Comfortable managing advanced devices, drips, and respiratory modalities excluding ventilators.
