Summary: Ref : M-RN-294548 Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac/Telemetry Job Type: Contract/Travel Start Date: ASAP Location: Zanesville, OH Shift Schedule: 7a-7:30p Shift Type: Days Rate: $2,052/36-hours Requirements: Active RN license in state of practice. Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience in Telemetry, Stepdown, or Cardiac units. BLS and ACLS required. Strong ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and identify life-threatening arrhythmias. Proficient in telemetry monitoring, IV management, and cardiac medication knowledge. Experience with EMR systems; additional facility-specific training as needed. Responsibilities: Monitor patients on continuous cardiac telemetry and promptly recognize arrhythmias or changes in cardiac status. Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments, including focused cardiac and respiratory evaluations. Administer medications, manage IV infusions, and titrate cardiac medications as permitted. Respond to cardiac emergencies and assist with interventions such as cardioversion or code response. Coordinate patient care, educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and lifestyle changes. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members. Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMR. Manage multiple acute patients while maintaining safe and effective care. Support post-procedural cardiac patients, including those recovering from catheterization, device placement, or heart failure exacerbations.
