(dependent on funding and reimbursement). The MAT Addiction
Therapist provides individual and group therapy to adults diagnosed
with addiction and mental health conditions. This therapist works
with both individuals and their family members. This professional
collaborates with psychiatric and allied team members in
assessment, diagnosing, treatment planning and intervention. This
position is full time ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but may not be limited to the following: Reports to work
on time, as scheduled, and at the location assigned. Completes
comprehensive addiction/co-occurring assessments to create a
thorough description of the individual's treatment needs,
presenting problems and necessary information to develop an
individualized person-centered treatment plan. Develops
person-centered plans with diagnosis, goals, objectives, and
interventions relevant to identified individual’s needs, hopes and
desires. Conducts individual, family, and/or group therapy and
provides crisis triage and interventions. Provides services in
accordance with the person-centered plan and professional scope of
practice. Skill set includes diverse interventions (e.g.,
individual, family, group, co-occurring, trauma treatment and
evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing,
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, etc.) Documentation for co-occurring
consumers includes staging and stage-matched interventions.
Enhanced skill set surrounding treatment of mental illness,
addiction and the recovery philosophy. Maintains direct service
hours of at least 85 per month. Participates in clinical team
meetings and consultation. Completes all documentation/progress
notes, assessments, treatment plans within agency required
timeframe Attends regular case conferences, in-services, training,
supervision and workshops. Strong knowledge, skill set, and
experience with the disease concept of chemical dependency,
substances use, trauma, stages of change and recovery. Knowledge of
pharmacological addiction treatment approaches. Proficiency in
working within the biological model of SMI (Serious Mental
Illness). Completes other duties as assigned in a reasonable
established timeframe with quality expectations. COMPETENCIES

client needs on multi-dimensional domains (behaviors, health,
education, financial security, relationships, meaningful

needs, the therapist applies interventions to assist client with

SUD-related triggers and cues, and distress relationships/family
dynamics. The therapist will be able to identify what is under the
surface and respectfully explore while maintaining unconditional

The Therapist ensures the provision of non-judgmental, value-based
treatment and utilizes case consultation with Co-occurring
Coordinator. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in Social
Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university. Active
MCBAP certification of CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug
Counselor) or Development Plan. Prefer 2 years experience in
working with the SMI/SUD population. CREDENTIALING/LICENSURE .
State of Michigan Master’s level license with the State of Michigan
(LARA) with one of the following: LMSW or LPC SK ILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability
to establish working relationships with all staff QUALIFICATIONS -
