We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 16-week locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This role begins Jan 5, 2026, with day shifts from 7a-5p and a rotating call schedule. The assignment involves first assisting, vein harvesting, and rounding, with proficiency required in using the Maquet Hemopro 2 system. Candidates must have current NCCPA certification and hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications. Job Details - Location: Ohio - Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 - LOA: 16 weeks - Provider Type Needed: Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: All clinic dates 7a-5p; rotating call schedule Responsibilities and Duties - First assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures - Perform vein harvesting for bypass surgeries - Conduct patient rounding and post-operative care - Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams - Utilize Maquet Hemopro 2 for surgical assistance - Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Additional Information - Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Ohio - NCCPA certification required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required - Recent experience with Maquet Hemopro 2 is essential - 2-3 weeks credentialing process Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
