Job Description Description Seeking a dedicated & passionate
Neonatal APP to work in a supportive fast-paced environment at our
academic health care & community setting. We offer a variety of
flexible shift options up to 24 hours, including days, nights,
weekends, and holidays. The provider will assess, implement, and
evaluate appropriate plans of care for patients in accordance with
the scope of practice of a Neonatal provider and current standard
of care. The Neonatal APP will manage a caseload of medically
complex neonates in the acute phase and transition to home and
participate in high-risk deliveries. The APP must demonstrate
age-appropriate care to neonates from birth to two years old. The
neonatal APP will be expected to initiate and participate in
education, research, and professional activities that contribute to
improving patient care, Neonatal APP program operation, or the
Neonatal APPs own professional development. This position will be a
split/shared position within our level III-IV NICU and Stepdown
unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center RB&C and community coverage
in the level I-II nursery at Tripoint, Southwest General, & Ahuja
Medical Centers. /n /n A Brief Overview /n The Advanced Practice
Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and
increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be
performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio
State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical
Bylaws. /n /n What You Will Do /n /n - Initiates and maintains

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain
Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual
training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are
in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. /n
Qualifications Education /n /n - (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing
with advanced practice certification specific to the neonatal
population (Required) /n - Master's Degree from an accredited PA
educational program (Required) /n /n Work Experience /n /n - 1
years as an Advanced Practice Provider (Preferred) /n /n Knowledge,
Skills, & Abilities /n /n - Demonstrated leadership skills.
(Required proficiency) /n - Demonstrated skills in interpersonal
relationships. (Required proficiency) /n - Computer skills to
access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required
proficiency) /n - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and
Outlook. (Required proficiency) /n /n Preferred Qualifications: /n
/n - Experience working as a Neonatal APP for a large healthcare
system /n - 2 years of experience working as a NICU RN /n - PA with
neonatal experience will be considered /n /n /n Licenses and
Certifications /n Nurse Practitioner: /n /n - Registered Nurse
(RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) /n -
Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP) (Required) /n - Basic
Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required) /n - Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) /n - NRP provider certification /n - Current APRN
License (Required) /n /n Physician Assistant: /n /n - Physician
Assistant (PA) (Required) and /n - Basic Life Support (BLS)
(Required) and /n - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
(Preferred) /n - NRP provider certification /n - Passed the
Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and
/n - Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and
/n - Maintain national PA Certification (Required) /n /n /n
